NASCO GROUP Decries Shortage Of Raw Materials For Production; Receives Posthumous Award

Krestnews reports that Bokkos and Mangu LGAs of Plateau State are known to be the major markets supplying grains required by the company and also to parts of the country, and that due to the crisis that ravaged those communities resulting in the destruction of farm produce thus making it a difficult for food producing companies like Nasco to access raw materials for production which he said has grossly affected supplies to consumers.
The manager called on the State Government to create an enabling environment for farmers to cultivate their farm lands in order to boost productivity.
He appreciated Sarkin Shuwa Arab, for the magnanimity and being thoughtful in recognizing them even when the Chairman has passed on.

Presenting the posthumous award, Sarkin Shuwa Arab Plateau and Nasarawa State, Abdulaziz Haruna, said Nasreddin established NASCO group of companies with the intention of helping humanity.
The traditional ruler described the owner of NASCO companies as one who stood for unity, justice and socio- economic development.
” I can attest that he helped many of my people by employing alot of them to be able to fend for their family members. Even as I speak, some are still working here, and are doing very well, I wish we can have other organizations emulates what NASCO is doing for the development of this country, Nigeria”
He however concluded that through the company many people in the state were employed irrespective of ethnic which has also curbed the level of unemployment in the state.
