The Customs Officers Wives Association (COWA) Kaduna Area Command Chapter, under the leadership of Chairperson, Hajiya Fadila Ahmed, convened a general meeting at the Command headquarters on Thursday at Kabala Doki, Kaduna.
Hajiya Fadila, who is the wife of the Customs Area Controller Kaduna Area Command Comptroller A.T Abe presided over the meeting session.
During the meeting, she unveiled several initiatives, including distributing gifts to spouses of recently delivered officers, visit to the Customs Primary School in Barnawa Kaduna, and registration of new members.
Krestnews reports that the association visited the Customs Barracks in Kabala Kaduna, where they presented gifts to support the wives of officers who had recently given birth.
Subsequently Hajiya Fadila and her entourage visited the Customs Primary School in Barnawa Kaduna.
The visit, which was the highlight of the day, delighted both staff and students.
Mrs. Bolaji, the Headmistress, expressed profound gratitude, noting that it was the first of such visit from the association’s leadership.
Hajiya Fadila interacted with students and donated 1,000 customized COWA exercise books and writing materials.
She also promised to relay the school’s challenges to the Comptroller General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, through the Association’s President, Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi
