A crop technologist, Mr Osabo Alphonsus, lecturer with College of Agriculture, Science and Technology has emphasised of the importance precise nutrient management for optimal plant growth
Mr Osabo Alphonsus stated this while demonstrating crop fertilization technique to IT students at the College Of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Lafia
Mr Alphonsus,lecturer in crop technology conducted a hands on fertilization aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
He used the session to further provide valuable insights in modern agricultural practices.
He demonstrated various fertilization techniques, highlighting the role of different nutrients and their impact on crop yield and quality.
A statement issued by the Information and Protocol Unit of the College, indicates that the students were engaged actively in the process, asking questions in a bit to engage the crop expert effectively
“The interactive session not only enhanced their understanding but also underscored the significance of integrating technology with agricultural practice.”
The statement reveal that the green house initiative is part of the College’s broader effort aimed at promoting interdisciplinary learning experiences.
It says the initiative is also aimed at equipping the students for diverse career paths in ever evolving field of agriculture.
“The greenhouse, equipped with advanced tools and technologies, served as an ideal setting for educational demonstration, enforcing the college’s commitment to fostering hand-on learning and innovation”, the statement concluded.
