Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Council Christopher Audu Manship has mourned the demise of the former Council Secretary, Christopher Chagapdat Kyaplat describing his passing as the lost of an icon.
The Chairman who led a powerful delegation comprising the Executive and Legislature to condole the family of the deceased, explained that he had a close affinity with the late Christopher and had last week discussed issues regarding the progress and development of the Local Government and its people.
Manship, in a statement through his SSA on media and Publicity to the council Chairman, Cletus Danaan, noted that the late Kyaplat had until his death, held several political positions and was involved in different Committees aimed at advancing the growth and development of Quaan Pan.
He acknowledged the close relationship he had with the deceased, adding that “in all the positions he held as a politician and public officer, he exhibited a high level of professionalism and decorum. He was a colossus in public life, very articulate and witty. He served his community and the nation extremely well” Manship observed.

The Chairman equally identified with his wife noting that as a former Secretary of the Council, the Local Government will be fully involved in his burial arrangements.

Responding on behalf of the family, a brother of the deceased, Sani Dagun appreciated the Council Chairman and his Management for identifying with them at their moment of grief, stressing that he was with the Chairman and the deceased in Qua’an Pan when the met and assured the Chairman of his support and cooperation towards the success of his administration.
The late Christopher Chagapdat Kyaplat was a former Director of Personnel Management in the Local Government Service Commission and served meticulously as a Council secretary under the administration of Reverend Danjuma Daniel.(www.krestnews.com).
