The Coalition of All Political Parties (CAPP) in Jigawa State have given an award of Excellent Service to representative Abubakar Yelleman, member representing Kaugama/Malam Madori Federal constituency and chairman House Committee on Police Affairs.
The Award was given to the Lawmaker in a brief ceremony held at the Manpower Development Institute (MDI) Dutse as a reward to his magnanimous presentation and provision of the dividends of democracy to his constituents.
The Chairman of the award ceremony, Murtala Galmawa said the committee was constituted by the Coalition to review the activities and performances of the Lawmaker which arrived at the decision to award him for good representation.
Yelleman has been the member representing Kaugama and Malam Madori Federal Constituency at the National Assembly for six years now.
Galmawa said the Lawmaker has distinguished himself in the service to humanity through various forms of empowerment programmes such as distribution of about 5 Trailer loads of Fertilizers to farmers within his Constituency.
He said the Lawmaker has also empowered 10,000 women with cash to improve their small businesses, where some received N100,000 each and others received N50,000.00 each respectively.
“20 towns and villages in the two Local Governments were linked with the National grid which tremendously boosted petty businesses such as welding, preserving cold water and the rest.
“Macki also installed Solar Power in about 30 towns and villages. He constructed five roads linking five villages across the two Local Governments, five Health facilities were also provided for constituents.
“He employed over 1000 youths into Vigilante with N30,000.00 as salary to each. While 20 villages were supplied with clean drinking water for constituents in the two Local Governments,” Galmawa said.
The chairman also explained that the committee’s finding which non partisan revealed that the Lawmaker has superseded all the Lawmakers in the state, past and present in terms of getting jobs for the youths into Military, Police, NIS and Custom.
He stated that the Lawmaker has gotten jobs for 1080 youths across the state into the Federal Civil Service in various places in the country.
“800 youths from the state were recruited into the Police, 200 youths into the Army, Air force and Navy. 30 young men were employed into Federal Fire Service and 120 into Nigeria Immigration Service.
Responding after receiving the Award on behalf of the Lawmaker, Habibu Sara expressed happiness and promised that more dividends of democracy will come the way of the constituents.
