The leadership of the organised labour under the Nigeria Labour Congress has announced the suspension of its two weeks old strike embarked upon following disagreements on implementation of the new minimum wage.
The suspension of the two weeks industrial action by civil servants in the followed agreement reached between Nasarawa State Government and the Organised Labour on the implementation of the new 70,500 minimum wage.

Consequently, the State Chairman of the NLC Comrade Ismaila Ayuba Okoh announced suspension of the industrial action and asked workers to resume work accordingly
Comrade Okoh announced the suspension of the strike during an emergency Executive Council Meeting of Labour at the TUC Secretariat in Lafia Monday, assuring that no worker will be victimised as a result of participation in strike.
The NLC in statement issued today 16, December in Lafia stated that the implementation of the new salary of 70,500 minimum will take effect from December 1st, 2024.(www.krestnews.com).
