Reports reaching Krestnews indicates that President Bola Tinubu is meeting with State Governors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The report says the meeting is being attended by the Vice President Kashim Shettima and the National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.

The meeting which is believed not to be unconnected with the current food situation and security in the country, has more than 27 governors and the deputy governor of Bauchi in attendance.

The Federal Government had started releasing tonnes of assorted grains to the market as part of efforts to make food available, affordable, and accessible across the country.

Similarly, measures have been taken to arrest the rising criminal activities through synergy among the armed forces and other paramilitary organizations.

President Tinubu, according to the report, is expected to leave for the AU summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia immediately after the meeting with the governors.

African leaders due to meet in Addis Ababa for their annual summit to be used to tackle the many challenges facing the continent and decide on how best to bolster the AU’s intervention in its various crises.
