An Articulate vehicle (Trailer truck) conveying cows and human beings has crashed in Jos. Plateau State, Central Nigeria
According to reports reaching Krestnews.com the road traffic crash ioccurred at the Secretariat Junction within Jos Metropolis in Plateau State.
In a statement issued to the media by the Corps Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps Maxwell Lede, Sector Commander RS4.1 Plateau, however shows no record of death either of the animals or humans but that fouteen people were rescued to hospitals with various degrees of injuries.
The statement the commercial trailer truck with registration number NSK523ZY and travelling from Adamawa enroute Lagos had 32 people including the driver, Muhammad Mandir Yusuf, crashed in the night of Thursday, 27th, February, 2025, around 11:05 pm.

The accident, the statement further said has affected traffic flow on the outward service lane that connects the secretariat to the express, while the left lane connecting the roundabout under the flyover is partially affected, thereby narrowing the lane.
Lede explained that traffic on that section of the road is obstructed to traffic flow and temporarily closed.
The Corps Commander however said that men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Nigeria Police Force (NPF ) are on the ground managing the traffic situations to avoid secondary crash and traffic gridlock and that efforts are on towards total clearance of the roads.


He said the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertain, but is suspecting high speed or reckless driving.
Meanwhile, the victims have been taken to Plateau Specialist Hospital, Bingham University Teaching Hospital, and JUTH, respectively, for treatment. (www.krestnews.com).
