13 out of the 24 students of the Borno state University (BOSU) affected by the recent trailer crash on admission at the university of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) Trauma center, have been stabilised and discharged.

As at Thursday evening only 11 Victims are on admission receiving the best of attention from a team of experts battling to keep them alive.

To ensure speedy healing, the Vice Chancellor BOSU Professor Babagana Gutti was at the Trauma center in the morning and evening to offer fatherly support to the survivors even as he wished them speedy recovery.

The VC commended both the Hospital as well as BOSU staff for the prompt support and attention given to the students admitted in the facility .

Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Engineer Lawan Wakilbe has also visited the admitted students and sympathized with them over the tragedy.

He donated the sum of two million naira to take care of their immediate medical and other sundry needs.

After the Dangote vehicle lost control and crashed into the bus loaded full of the students being ferried home, lots of them had primary fractures while many others had secondary damages to their bones which is why two of them died on the same day and were interred this morning.
