The Vice Chancellor of Borno State University, Professor Babagana Gutti has called for collaboration and support with the Borno State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).
The VC who was on a familiarization tour of the command head quarters in Maiduguri Friday stressed that the collaboration should be aimed at enhancing security and quality education in the University.
Professor Gutti informed the State commander Assistant Commandant General Musa Farouk that the visit,was also “to explore ways to work together in promoting peace and stability within the State University and beyond.
He reiterated that,the University was for established for everybody especially the youths,hence the need to instill good moral values in them as well as secure their lives and properties even as he further solicited for cooperation and collaboration towards that end.
ACG Musa Faruk congratulated the VC over his deserved appointment even as he commended Governor Babagana Zulum for approving the VCs appointment.
ACG Musa, assured of his commitment to support the institution’s initiatives, highlighting the importance of collaboration in achieving common goals and fostering a safer university community.
He assured that the Corps will honor all commitments and partnership discussions started with his predecessor when he visited BOSU last year.
With this latest development, the State University and NSCDC emphasized that they will maintain the vital role of education in societal development.
