The Borno State Government has donated solar panels, batteries, equipment and Walkie-talkies to the Borno State Command of the Nigerian police with a view to activating a Joint Operation Centre for internal security.
The Centre is to serve as Communication unit for Intelligence Sharing amongst security agencies in the State as stated in a release from the state ministry of information.
The presentation was made on behalf of the State Government by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Prof. Usman Tar, who was represented by his Permanent Secretary, Modu Alhaji Mustapha.
The donation was received on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, by Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations, Moses Gana at the Borno State Command Headquarters Maiduguri recently.
