Governor Babagana Zulum has vowed to complete all on going projects big or small in the State before leaving office in 2027.

He made the vow Saturday while flagging off the third fly over bridge in the western area of the metropolis of Maiduguri to ease traffic congestion.

In his bid to ease traffic congestion in maiduguri, he said he has seen the need to build a bridge at the notorious post office area of the state because of the suffering commuters go through daily to traverse the city centre due to heavy traffic.

The heavy traffic congestion at post office area is obviously because most areas in the city has never experienced such massive open up especially within the built up areas which has added to the beautification of the town since its pronouncement as a state capital on the 3rd February 1976.

The N 7. 9 billion fly over bridge being built by EEC which is a Chinese company is the third in the state since the Governor assumed duty.

The first one was built at customs area while the Borno express area has gotten the second one with the western area now receiving the third one by way of flag off.

Earlier commissioner of works Engineer Mustapha Gubio while briefing the Governor on the technical details said that the fly over bridge will be completed within the next one year by EEC company which will be closely monitored by ALKABUT Nigeria limited as consultants.

The western round about flyover will feed four major routes in the capital city when completed.
