The Chairman Wunti Youths and Elders group Alh Abubakar Sulaiman Baban”Ya had expressed conviction that Senator Shehu Buba Umar, APC representing Bauchi South Senatorial District will be re-elected in 2027
Baban”Ya stated this while honoring the distinguished Senator Buba Umar, with an Award of Excellent in the State, saying the Award was in his recognitions of various achievements of projects in the areas of human and capital development as well as sponsoring many youths to further their educations and employment opportunities under his one year in office.
He said that the Forum decided to honor the Senator Alh Shehu Umar Buba with award of excellent was based on his track records and achievement recorded under his one year tenure ship in office after his election in the state.
Baban’Ya said that the Forum has followed with keen interest and effective monitoring of the Senator activities in the constituency and compared with the passed leaders resolved to honor him because of his exceptional performance especially in the areas of human and capital development considering the present situation of the country economic hardship faced by the majority common people.
The chairman used the medium to solicit the senator for support to the teaming youths, women and elderly people in ward to have something doing to become self-reliant as well as scholarship and employment opportunities.
Corroborating, the Grand Patron and Father of the Day, Alh Sani Ahmad Toro said the Senator Shehu Buba has performed wonderfully just in one year of his tenure by bringing a lot of developmental projects in his constituency and beyond which he has sponsored many bills that have direct impact to the lives of common man and the State at large in the Senate.
Alh Sani Toro who doubled as Yariman Toro and was former, Secretary of the Nigerian Football Association NFA added that the Shehu Buba being the only Senator from the All Progressive Congress APC in the State, he was able to carry everyone alone and his projects have reached all parts of the state. Saying that “the people of the ward were highly proud of you and your humble office, may Allah guides you to excel to greater height.
Others who spoke during the occasion, Comrade Sabo Muhammad and Abdulhamid Kundak all commended the Senator for his gesture particularly with his leadership styles for coming dawn to the grassroots level to hear their plights through grassroots contact.
They however, call on the senator to extend his gesture to all part of the state despite the fact that he was been elected to represent the south senatorial district but yet he is still representing the State as whole. And urged prayers from his teaming supporters for the Senator to succeeded on his position up to the next elections in 2027.
Receiving the Award, the Chairman Senate committee on National Security and Intelligence, distinguished Senator Shehu Buba Umar said that what he needed most is prayers from his teaming supporters of the All Progressive Congress APC for him to succeed ahead of the 2027 general elections in the State.
The Senator noted that it is only the prayers from his supporters that would make him succeed both in the National assembly as well as to effectively discharge his responsibilities.
He appreciated the forum for finding him worthy of the Award as well as the support and love shown to him by the people of the ward especially during his elections in 2023.
Senator Buba, however, promised to bring more dividends of Democracy to grassroots level in the State, where he announced the donations of three million naira to the Forum..

The event witnessed the decamped of hundreds teaming supporters of the People Democratic Party PDP and were been received by the APC bigwig Abdulmumini Kundak to the All Progressive Party APC in the State and presentation of an Award gift to the Senator.
