Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State and the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger state council have expressed shock over the death of the Director, Institute of Continuing Education and Learning (ICEeL) a part-time degree programme of the Ibrahim Badamasi University Lapai (IBBUL), Prof. Nuhu Aliyu Ango who passed away on Thursday in Minna

In a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Bologi Ibrahim, the farmer Governor described the death of Prof. Aliyu Ango as a great loss to the state and the entire nation owing to the immeasurable and invaluable contributions of the deceased, especially in the academia.

He said, “Prof. Aliyu Ango has been an asset as a lecturer in the Business Department of the IBB University Lapai from its inception, which later earned him the position of Director at the ICEeL”.

According to him, the deceased has been compassionate and generous, providing humanitarian support and empowerment to the less privileged through his Ango Foundation.

He said, “the esteemed academician dedicated his life to lecturing and empowering women. He has left a lasting impact on many lives “.

Also in a statement mourning the death of Professor Ango, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger state council, Comrade Abu Nmodu expressed shock over the sad news.

He described the late Ango as a complete gentleman and husband to a dedicated member of the union Asabe Garba who is the Zonal Coordinator of Federal Information Resource Centre in Niger State.
