Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has showered glowing tributes on the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, describing him as a visionary leader whose competence and exemplary leadership have fostered vibrancy and stability in the National Assembly.
Bago made the remarks in a heartfelt congratulatory message to celebrate the Speaker on his 60th birthday anniversary, October 1, 2025.
“On this special occasion, I salute and commend the Speaker for providing exemplary leadership in the House of Representatives. This is a testament to your experience, competence, and commitment to fostering vibrant legislatures at the National Assembly,” Bago said.
Through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor hailed Abbas as a calm, humble, passionate, and intelligent lawmaker who has been making immense contributions to the National Assembly since 2011.
He further commended the Speaker’s ability to promote peace and unity in the 10th House of Representatives, irrespective of political differences, for the common good of Nigerians.
Describing 60 as a remarkable milestone, Governor Bago said, “It is a diamond jubilee, a significant age that marks a life well lived, and this calls for celebration.”
He prayed for God’s continuous blessings, long life, sound health, and wisdom for the Speaker as he continues to steer the affairs of the Green Chamber.
