The Caretaker Chairman of Katagum Local Government Area, Musa Azare, officially launched the construction of a feeder road within the Azare metropolis
The roads to be built are those that link Azare New Cemetery to the highway along Jama’are road in Azare, providing access to the cemetery.
This project marks a major milestone in his tenure, paying tribute to the vision and dedication of past leaders who initiated the New Cemetery project.
Chairman of the LGA, Musa Azare expressed gratitude to Allah for the opportunity to contribute to this historic development.
He acknowledged the guidance and support of His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Umar Farouk II, OON, the Emir of Katagum, who has been a source of counsel and encouragement throughout the planning and execution of this project.
Musa Azare, while extending gratitude to those who graced the occasion including key figures and stakeholders, such as the District Heads of Azare, Madara, and Chinade, and the fourteen Village Heads within Katagum LGA, said his administration would continue to include the traditional title holders in its decisions because of the role they play in human development.
He also thanked Senator Dr. Sama’ila Dahuwa Kaila, representing Bauchi North; Hon. Auwalu Abdu Gwalabe, Member representing Katagum Federal Constituency; and Hon. Farouk Mustapha, Commissioner for Rural Development and Special Duties, Hon. Dr. Nasiru Ahmad Ala, Member representing Madara/Chinade State constituency for their support and representation at the occasion.
The event, which was held with the collaborative efforts of the Katagum Forum, led by Chairman Alhaji Aminu Suley, CG Rtd (NCC), and Alhaji Ali Hamdala, both praised for their partnership and multidimensional support.
Chairman Azare also commended the leaders and stakeholders of the PDP in Katagum Local Government for their steadfast support in all initiatives.
Addressing the community, the Chairman expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of Katagum for their continuous support, highlighting their critical role in the administration’s successes.
He further extends profound gratitude to Governor Senator Bala AbdulKadir Muhammàd, CON (Kauran Bauchi), the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, whom he credited as the pillar behind his achievements and the backbone of the State’s progress.
“This project signifies not only a step forward in infrastructure development but also a tribute to the foresight of our past leaders,” said Azare. “It is a promise of a brighter future for our community, honouring the legacy of those who came before us.” “It is therefore essential for us to drum our support to the Executive Governor of Bauchi State for the opportunity to serve under him, you can testify to that as recently, he received an award of excellence on urban renewal by the Federal Government.”
