The Foundation which is the pet project of the Governor Abdullahi Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State, was inaugurated Saturday August 24 at Taal Conference Hotel, Lafia, the State capital.
Speaking at the occasion, the Governor explained that the foundation which is a multipurpose vehicle is established in honour of his late children Asma’u and Hassan who died years apart in separate incidents which left him with no option than to submit to the will of God.
“Hajiya Amina Gamawa that spoke earlier, actually was not Asma’u’s mother. But she was closer to her than all of us were. She was my ex-wife and she took her like her own daughter …

He stressed that it was in one of those trips to and fro that they had an accident where Asma’u died and Hajiya Amina Gamawa survived and has been feeling guilty all her life.
” But I kept telling her that she should not feel guilty,. That is destiny and exactly how God Almighty planned for Asma’u to die ” He recounted.
While On Hassan who happened to be his first son Engineer Sule recounted as follows: “With regards to Hassan, I didn’t want to say much because, everything of mine was in his name. When I lived in the United States, it was about Hassan. He was my first son. When I first build my house in the year 2006, Hassan’s family house was already built in Houston Texas …

” When I did anything business, Hassan’s name is there. When I did anything in here even in Gudi, when I built my own section of the house, Hassan’s house was also there. But you see, God has his own ways – you plan yours; God plans his ” Governor Sule revealed how he lost both Asma’u and Hassan in tragic scenarios.
He appreciated all the dignitaries comprising of royal fathers, politicians, captains of industries from far and near who graced the occasion for their kind words and support to the successful inauguration of the foundation.
” My idea is actually to remain in my shell and do things quietly without anybody knowing what we are doing “, he noted

Engineer Sule said he is totally surprised to know that his daughter Hajiya Hussaina A.A Sule the CEO/Founder of Asma’u & Hassan Foundation.has the courage to approach highly placed people in the society and invited them to the event.
” Because I don’t have that kind of courage, that kind of guts to go ahead and do things like this; as I would never had been able to face His Royal Highness Etsu Nupe and tell him – I want to come for a foundation launch like this ” , the Governor said.
On political matters, the Governor pointed out that categorically said – ” I have said it for whoever care to know that without the support of Tanko Al-Makura; I would not have been a governor “
He urge crisis entrepreneurs going in between them with the sole aim of causing disaffection to desist from rumour peddling.

” At the end of the day, guys, please don’t continue to go between two people as Abdullahi Sule by 2027 would have finished his tenure as governor. There is no need to create tension here and there ” Engineer Sule urged.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Asma’u and Hassan Foundation Hajiya Hussaina A A Sule said the organisation which is in established in fond memories of her late siblings would cater for the needs of orphans, less privileged members of the society and Indigent women out there.
