The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Plateau State chapter, has endorsed Governor Caleb Mutfwang for a second term in 2027 after a groundbreaking peer review tour of the state’s 17 Local Government Councils.

The tour, led by ALGON Chairman Hon. Hamisu Anani was designed to assess governance at the grassroots, inspect ongoing projects, and strengthen unity across the councils.

During the historic exercise, ALGON executives visited key projects, including road constructions, hospitals, youth centres, police stations, markets, and even traditional palaces. Notable among them were the Snakebite Treatment Hospital, new Local Government Secretariat buildings, and renovations of schools.

Hon. Anani described the review as “historic,” noting that it was not only about inspecting projects but also about engaging directly with the people. He emphasized that feedback from communities was overwhelmingly positive and highlighted Governor Mutfwang’s “open-handed” leadership.

ALGON also pledged to work with security stakeholders through monthly meetings to address persistent challenges across troubled areas of the state.

At the close of the tour, Anani declared that Plateau people were pleased with the governor’s performance, adding that many were already calling for his re-election beyond 2027.

The endorsement marks a united front for Plateau’s future, with ALGON vowing to continue fostering grassroots development, peace, and inclusive governance. VISIT www.krestnews.com for more news reports.
