The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has doled out N6million and in addition distributed 700 bags of rice to the people in his constituency in the spirit of Sallah celebration.
This, the Speaker said while distributing the rice and cash in Kokona, his Garaku. Headquarters of Kokona LGA his country home, was to ease the pains of the current economic hardship as well as enable families celebrate the Sallah with joy.
Speaker Jatau said that the gesture was borne out of his continued desire and commitment to improve on the standard of living of the people of his constituency, before, during and after sallah celebration.

” I have been doing this, what I am doing is to put smile on the faces of the people of my constituency during the Sallah celebration.
” it has been my usual tradition, during festivals like Sallah, Christmas I always fall back home to identify with my people specially for the festival.
” I want to use this medium to call on the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items in order to change on their standard of living and that of their family members positively.
” Today, I am distributing 700 bags of rice and N6million to the people of my constituency where each person will be given N20,000 each to celebrate Sallah with it”, he said.

Jatau urged those who are yet to benefit from his various interventions and other gestures to be patient while assuring that his dividends of democracy would reach them and will cut across all people regardless of party affiliation.
The Speaker assured of all inclusive leadership as well as sound and quality representation at the state legislature.
Besides, he urged the people of his constituency and the state at large to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
” I want to call on the people of my constituency and the state to continue to give their maximum support to His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule to succeed.
” His Excellency has done well in almost all sectors of the economy. His projects cut across all local government areas of the state” Jatau added.

Jatau urged the people of his constituency and the state at large to shun politics of ethnicity and religious in order to move the state and the country forward.
He urged Muslim faithful and other Nigerians to use the Ramadan period to pray for the unity, peace, security, progress and development of the country.
He appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for appointing sons and daughters of Kokona LGA into different government positions in the state.
Also speaking, Hon. Agbawu Mek Agbawu, Chairman, Kokona LGA; Hon. Jacob Terry Bado, the APC Chairman, Kokona LGA, who spoke through Local Government APC Secretary, Hon. Luka Osu commended Speaker Jatau for providing the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency.
They said that the Speaker is making them proud while urging him to continue in that direction.

They urged other politicians to emulate the Speaker’s gesture in order to alleviate the pains of the current economic reality and mprove on the standard of living of the people.
They used the forum to reassured the assured the Speaker of their continues loyalty and support at all times.
