AG Mortgage Bank PLC has celebrated its 20th anniversary in Abuja, marking two decades of delivering affordable mortgage solutions and community empowerment initiatives across Nigeria.

Speaking at the anniversary dinner on Friday, September 26, 2025, Chairman Rev. Dr. Abel Amadi recalled the bank’s journey since its founding in 2004 with a vision of responsible lending and accessible housing. He noted that the bank has grown into a leading force in Nigeria’s mortgage sector, driven by innovation and resilience despite economic challenges such as inflation, subsidy removal, and currency devaluation.

Amadi highlighted the bank’s achievements, including disbursing over ₦2.8 billion to 97 applicants under the Ministry of Finance Incorporated Real Estate Investment Fund (M-REIF) scheme. He also reiterated the bank’s goal of raising its equity capital to ₦10 billion, while expressing gratitude to customers, regulators, shareholders, and partners for their unwavering support.

Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Ngozi Anyogu, emphasized that AG Mortgage Bank’s success is anchored on its values of accountability, integrity, teamwork, and innovation. He revealed that the bank is partnering with Invest Africa to create 300,000 mortgages in six years, scaling up to one million customers, while also prioritizing sustainable housing and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.

Anyogu further outlined the bank’s 2025–2030 strategic plan, anchored on five “BIG BETS”:

Organisational transformation into a group structure,

Building a sustainable capital base,

Business growth,

Driving green housing through ESG, and

Delivering strong shareholder value from 2026.

The evening also featured awards to distinguished stakeholders and partners who have contributed to the bank’s success, including realtors, directors, and industry leaders.
