The call was made during a major mobilisation event tagged “Call to Serve Rally” held on Saturday in Lafia. Speaking at the rally, Abdullahi Yanmani, Director General of ASAT Vanguard, said the group is urging Tukur to run because of his proven leadership capacity and long-standing commitment to the development of Nasarawa State since its creation in 1996.

Yanmani noted that Tukur’s contributions over the decades have set him apart as a top contender for the 2027 governorship seat.

“Tukur has worked with all former military administrators and past and present civilian governors. His involvement in major state projects speaks for itself,” he said.

He listed landmark projects Tukur helped deliver, including the design, remodeling, and construction of the Government House, Presidential Lodge, modern markets across various LGAs, and bus terminals in Lafia and Karu.

According to him, Tukur’s humility, grassroots appeal, and genuine concern for people’s welfare have endeared him to citizens across the state.

Yanmani expressed confidence that Tukur’s experience, strategic insight and selfless service would usher Nasarawa State into a new era of unity, growth and prosperity.

Coordinators of ASAT Vanguard across Awe, Doma and Obi LGAs joined the call, noting that Tukur’s expertise is needed to sustain and build on the legacy projects of Governor Abdullahi Sule.

They added that his acceptance to contest would give residents renewed confidence in the state’s developmental trajectory. Follow www.krestnews.com for fresh reports
