Barely a week after dissolving the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has approved a new board with the appointment of former Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service, Ibrahim Liman, as Chairman.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, in Minna.

According to the SSG, the move reflects the governor’s commitment to ongoing education reforms aimed at strengthening institutions for better efficiency, accountability, and service delivery.

“The Governor of Niger State, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the constitution of a new Board for the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB),” the statement read.

NSUBEB Appointments:
Chairman: Ibrahim A. Liman

Member I: Monday Emigi

Member II: Mohammed Mudi

Member III: Samuel Makotso

Member IV: Malik Madaki Bosso

Member V: Mohammed Mamman Auna

Secretary: Dr. Aminu Wushishi

In the same vein, Governor Bago reconstituted the Niger State Secondary Education Board (SSEB) with Abdulkadir Isah Nafuntuwa Aaron as Chairman.

SSEB Appointments:
Member I: Mohammed Madami Evuti

Member II: Salihu Danladi

Member III: Yusuf A. Yakubu Salka

Member IV: Dr. Yinti Usman

Member V: Abubakar Garo

Secretary: Dr. Ahmed Egbako

Governor Bago congratulated all the appointees and charged them to bring their experience and professionalism to bear in driving the New Niger Agenda toward a robust, transparent, and quality education system.
