Member representing Akwanga, Nasarawa Eggon abd Wamba, Federal Constituency, Hon Jeremiah Umaru has reiterated his commitment to excellent representation at the National Assembly.
The federal lawmaker was speaking in his office Wednesday while hosting a delegation of Wamba 10 Initiative who paid him an official visit.
“I am here as your messenger, i came here with a vision to selflessly serve my constituency, project its image and explore every opportunities that are beneficial to my constituency and my people and attract them”.
He went to give account of his stewardship in the National in a little over one year which included but not limited to, a bill for the establishment of North Central Development Commission which passed third reading in both the Senate and House of Representatives.
Others are a bill for the establishment of Federal Medical Centre Sisimbaki, Wamba, a bill for the establishment of Federal College of Agriculture, Nasarawa Eggon and another bill for the establishment of Federal University of Education, Akwanga as well as Federal Vocational and Skills Acquisition Institute, Akwanga.
He also explained that he has been able to provide scholarship to students in various institutions from the Federal Constituency, in addition to providing support to law students as well as sponsoring inter secondary schools debate, training of youths on leadership and life skills among countless others.

He applauded the group for taking time to visit him, saying it has further encouraged him to do more knowing that his people are appreciative of what he is doing at the National Assembly and have come to demonstrate support.
He assured them that the projects embarked on in various parts of the federal constituency currently are just a tip of the iceberg and that more is yet to come.
While coming for peace and unity among the various tribes, faiths and political parties in the federal constituency, he reveal that a bill to create Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency is being considered at the National Assembly and that when passed, it will further create space for political participation and more voices for the erstwhile Akwanga Division.
Soeaking, the spokesman of the delegation Alfred Akwe appreciated the Hon member for the prompt warm reception accorded the delegation.

He said they were in his office, to express solidarity and appreciate him for excellent representation and for the various programmes and policies being pursued by the lawmaker which he described as very impactful to the federal constituency, the North Central and the country and urged him to sustain the tempo.
He used the forum to inform the lawmaker that Wamba 10 Initiative is a non partisan group which formed to lobby for the development of Wamba as a whole through advocating for cohesion, integration and put Wamba first in every endeavour.
He explained members of Wamba 10 Initiative comprised of men and women of goodwill drawn from all the 10 electoral Wards of Wamba, principally to reposition. Wamba for effective representation and governance.
Mr Akwe said also that the group deliberately chose to come on “this day which your birthday” to celebrate with the lawmaker and wish all the best as he marked his new age
Earlier, the Chairman of the group Alhaji Turakin Konvah commended the lawmaker for excellent representation and prayed that he will continue to rise higher and higher in his political career.

Also speaking, a two time Commissioner and now a staff of FCDA, Abuja, Hajiya Ramatu Ajuji urged the lawmaker to run an inclusive governance and to avoid unnecessary controversies but remain focus.
She said so far she has not heard any adverse comment in public or private about him and such was commendable and urge him to sustain it as it would speak for him going forward.

Highlight of the visit was the presentation of Roll up flex banner celebrating the lawmaker’s birth day by the Chaiman Wamba 10 Initiative.

Responding, Mr Moses MacDaniels thanked the group for finding him worthy to be the patron, though he expressed pleasant surprise and assured of his commitment to the ideals of the group.
