The Managing Director of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC), Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa has assured of the commitment towards improving their living standard of youths with the distribution of starter packs to 5,000 beneficiaries of the commission’s Youth Transformation Programme (YTP).

The Head, Press and Public Affairs of the commission, Nura Tanko Wakili stated this in a statement issued in Minna on Friday.

He explained that the beneficiaries have graduated from the training on various skills under the youth transformation programme adding that, ” they have satisfied all the requirements outlined for the programme”.

According to him, ” the flag-off will be conducted in Minna, Niger State on Saturday 2nd November, 2024 while beneficiaries from Plateau and Benue States will receive their packs in their states capital on 5th and 7th November respectively”.

He explained that beneficiaries from Kebbi state will receive theirs on 9th November in Birni Kebbi town while those from Kogi state will be in Lokoja on the 26th November 2024 and Kwara State on 1st December, 2024.

Wakili said that only beneficiaries of the programme duely registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission who have also submitted undertaking letters from their guarantors will receive the packs.

The list of beneficiaries showed that Niger state has 1,623, Kebbi 1,011 while Kogi stae has 705. In the same vain, Plateau state has 365, Kwara -814 and Benue -505
