Krestnews reports that no fewer than 400 orphans and vulnerable people in the society were provided with relief materials to enable them to celebrate and a sense of belonging.
The beneficiaries of the relief of package were the less privileged members of the Malam Kawu Youth Rehabilitation and Orphanage Centre (MKYROC), Bauchi who are undergoing rehabilitation and treatment.
They were provided with 4 Cows, 4 Rams which were slaughtered during the just concluded Eid-el-Kabir festivities in Bauchi
Speaking on the objectives for the relief, Founder of NGO, Malam Abdullahi Muhammad Tahir said four cows and four rams were slaughtered and distributed as sacrificial Sallah meat to the vulnerable, orphanage and less privileged.
Speaking further, the proprietor, Malam Abdullahi Muhammàd Tahir said that as usual with the centre for each and every Eid-el Kabir, they used to slaughter sacrificial animals for the enjoyment of those undergoing the rehabilitation.
Tahir explained that the 2024 Eid-el Kabir, like the previous years, he has bought four cows and four rams out of his own pocket for the beneficiaries, revealing that only one parent from Niger Republic that had a son at the centre, sent him a donation of N200, OOO to complement his efforts as regards the buying of sacrificial animals.

He expressed dismay that most of the parents with children at the centre don’t even bother to come over to see what their wards are doing or how fairly their children were undergoing rehabilitation, for the simple fact that they feel ashame having their children engaged in drugs abuse or other social vices.
“As usual, every year, I hardly get any financial assistance from those bringing their children here for rehabilitation, except one parent from Niger Republic who had a child here, he sent to me a donation of the sum of N200, OOO to complement his efforts of buying the sacrificial animals for the occasion of Eid-el Kabir celebration”, Tahir said.
“Had it been that majority of those parents bringing their children here for rehabilitation to this centre are emulating that parent or father from Niger Republic, the sacrificial animals for those undergoing the rehabilitation each year would have been on the increase yearly for maximum benefits”.
Tahir further assured that he would not relent efforts in offering such humanitarian services to the orphans, vulnerable and the less-privileged in the society, especially those undergoing rehabilitation and treatment at MKYROC, citing example with his ongoing provision of uniforms and other learning materials to pupils/JSS students in Bauchi metropolis.
Malam Abdullahi Tahir appealed to parents including who even doesn’t have a single child at the rehabilitation centre to frequent themselves and be acquainted with its activities in such a manner as to forestalling other children from engaging in drugs or substance abuse
