Federal University of Technology Minna has conferred on Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state and his Kaduna counterpart, Uba Sani the Doctorate Degrees of the institution in the 2023/2024 academic session.

While farmer Umaru Bago got a doctorate degree(Honoris cuosa in Agriculture by the Federal University of Technology Minna, the Governor of Kaduna state, Senator Uba Sani was honoured with Doctorate Degree of Entrepreneurship.

Also in this category of awards I’d the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa who bagged the Doctorate Degree of Technology.

Receiving the award, Farmer Governor Umaru Bago expressed the desire to go back to school for his PhD studies in agriculture adding that, ” I choose to add farmer to my name because of my commitment to engage in agriculture. This honour by this university is a motivation for me to enroll for PhD in agriculture “.

He called on FUT Minna to continue to take leadership role in terms of training and innovative research while advocating stronger ties with the State Government to ensure that FUT Minna sustains itself through agriculture.

He announced the donation of N100m by the Bago endowment fund and another N200m endowment fund by Senator Muhammad Sani Musa.

Kaduna State Governor, Sen. Uba Sani who was honored with a Doctorate degree in Entrepreneurship said that the Institution have made its mark in technological education in Nigeria and has been breaking new grounds in achieving excellence.

Also speaking, the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District who was also awarded a Doctorate Degree in Technology appreciated the honour done him by FUT Minna and assured of his commitment to the growth of the Institution.(www.krestnews.com).
