The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, today decorated one hundred and seventeen (117) officers who were recently promoted by the Nigeria Police Force with their new ranks.

This is disclosed in a statement issued to the Media by the Command’s Public Relations Officer today in Lafia, by SP Ramhan Nansel

CP Shetima while addressing the newly decorated officers, expressed his gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission for recognizing the deserving officers and promoting them.

While congratulating the newly promoted officers, CP Shetima charged them to maintain professionalism and civility in their interactions with the public while performing their duties.

He emphasized that the promotion is a reflection of their hard work and dedication to combating crime and criminality in the state.

The Commissioner of Police further encouraged the officers to see their promotion as an added responsibility that should inspire them to work even harder.

He also reminded the officers of the heightened challenges and responsibilities associated with their new ranks, stressing that any unprofessional conduct would be taken seriously.

CP Shetima advised the officers to continue to uphold the values of the Nigeria Police Force and to take proper care of their families, celebrating their achievements modestly.

He stated, “Your status has changed. Your attitude must change.”

CSP Mark Adakole speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Commissioner of Police for recommending them for promotion, assuring him that the officers would redouble their efforts to curb crime and further elevate the image of the Nigeria Police Force.(www.krestnews.com).
